Nomad clan is the collective duo of Joy Gilleard also known as Cbloxx and Hayley Garner a.k.a. AYLO. Together they realise loads of different projects in the field of urban art, illustration, graffiti, and design.
CBloxx is a street artist born in a small northern industrial town in the heart of the bleak Yorkshire mores. Recently commended as one of the world’s top 10 female street artists; CBloxx attempts to capture the universal essence of the human condition mainly through a surreal portrayal of life, love, death and spirituality.
Aylo is a manchester based street artist and paint enthusiast who owns a graff shop in the heart of the northern quarter. Her work combines playful bold graphics with super slick urban stylings, influenced by everything from old school graffiti to sign writing & vintage animation.
The fusion of the two has resulted in an unmistakable visual style, the sort of thing that would emerge from eating too much cheese before bed..
2014 was a busy year for the pair with unique projects ranging from long term street art residency at York Mister commissioning artists such as Inkie, working on the first giant LGBT murals in Europe, group shows with VNA magazine & Vans shoes, curating and coordinating multiple live art events, co-founding the Norths first all girl graffiti crew (T&T) as well as running community workshops across the country.
